Life, at times, has been a roller-coaster ride. I have experienced many things, some good, some not so good. I have visited many places and seen many things. It is those rich experiences which have coloured my life and today I use them to create images in the novels I write.

My name is Margaret Muir. I am an author, born in England now living in Australia.
It was shortly after I completed a degree in writing in 2004 that I wrote my first book.

Sea Dust (Hale, London, 2005) is a dramatic story set on a square rigged ship in 1856.

My second novel, The Twisting Vine, (2006) is a saga set in Yorkshire between 1895 and 1920.

The Black Thread was published in 2008. It is a dramatic story set in 1898 which tells of a young woman's search for her true identity. The story takes place on a barge on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal.

This novel will be published in large print in January 2009.

The Condor's Feather is an equestrian adventure set in Patagonia in 1885. It is also due for publication in 2009.

My latest manuscript is an Age-of-sail nautical adventure set during the Napoleonic Wars.
